With the temperatures on a constant and consistent rise, our options for cool and comfortable outerwear women’s clothing is quite limited during the summer. With Fall just right around the corner, it is time to start investing in some key pieces of women’s clothing that’s practical for the summer and will still keep you from getting chills come Fall!

Enter: the denim blazer. This beautiful piece of women’s apparel has been in style long before its revival today. Women’s summer apparel has had its days of creativity and has made its mark once again by hitting the runways in early spring collections by designers Elie Tahari and Margaret Howell. The quality of how unique each denim blazer has turned out to be is the beauty in acquiring one for your fabulous summer wardrobe at all! The denim material for the blazers come in a series of either thick denim material, or a thin soft linen, in a washed out acid tone, or a dark dyed violet denim. No matter what the fabric or color, it is for sure that the denim blazer is now up and coming as one of women’s summer apparel must-have’s!

Other than the typical cardigan, we women are quite limited as to what we can slip our cold arms into, or drape around our shoulders after a warm day out in the summer heat. We cannot always frolic around town completely desensitized to the cool air that sweeps in at dusk. The perfect complement to a summery outfit, be it solid colors or fabulously bright and rich prints, the denim blazer is a quiet neutralizer of all things great and summery, and creates a quiet transition into something more telling about what’s to come in the simple piece of women’s apparel.

I’ve always found it so mature and cool to see women of all ages and sizes throw on a blazer over their selected outfits. Blazers bring about this demand of attention and a demand to be taken seriously. Although it is a piece of women’s apparel typically trademarked to be found in the offices or lines of cubicles in a corporate office somewhere, but when it becomes street chic and takes on its own relaxed personality, that is when you know you have something special. Women’s apparel doesn’t always need to be placed at a certain place at its designated time.

Try wearing a denim blazer over a flowy sundress, or match denim on denim with shorts and a blazer to bring a distinct uniformity with the blazer’s summer counterparts.

In the light of the boho-chic trend that has officially made its mark in the fashion world, we can all breathe a sigh of relief as the flowy shades of the color spectrum arrive to us on women’s apparel in the form of pleated skirts. There’s something timeless about the pleated skirt, whether it falls at the knee or at the ankle, with its perfectly folded pleats or loose folds and turns as it sashays to the movement of your walk and rightfully claims its place in women’s summer apparel. 

On a hot night out, sometimes it’s not worth it to wear the skin-tight clothes or the articles of women’s fashion clothing that require lots of buttons, zippers and straps. Keeping things chic and simple is always an option for every woman who wants to remain comfortable and cool- but still fashionable in women’s summer apparel. Although skirts in general are effortless and comfortable if worn the right way, pleated maxi skirts or the pleated skirts that come to the knee leave me breathless. 

At Paris Fashion Week, women’s apparel came out in a big way on the streets. The obvious models and fashion editors came out to play, but the cool no-namers in the fashion world spilled onto the streets and displayed their rainbow shades of pleated skirts. One of my favorites that was snapped by the fashion photogs, was a pleated maxi skirt in a tangy tangerine shade. Its sheer fabric looked oh so soft and to create a unique contrast, the mysterious woman in the orange pleated skirt paired her soft tone with a rugged looking denim jacket. 

Although we are highlighting the beauty of a pleated skirt, I believe my love of denim jackets matches my love of the pleated skirt. So to see my two beloved items in fashion matrimony makes me squeal with delight! Women’s fashion clothing seeks to be linear, but you can always venture outside the safe lines of fashion and dare to do something different.  

You can really style any shade of a bright pleated skirt and find a contrasting shade to pair it up with. Whether you want to keep things classic with a ruffled blouse, or play up your different fashion personalities by going rocker glam or Euro-chic, the pleated skirt holds the key to your versatility and will always always complement every inch of your body.
