Trendy Tuesday: Nautical Nice

Tuesday, May 1st, 2012

This is the trend that WON’T Quit!! We’ve seen Nautical trending for the past few Summer’s, but with styles like this it’s hard to let it go. This summer, get in touch with your Nautical Nice side, one more time. This look is easily achieved using your red, white, and blue color palette, but feel free to use other basic colors to perosnalize your look. Pairing striped with polka dots as seen on the bandeau below is also a great way to give this a flirty feminine look. For the past summer we LOVED the high waist short and high waist pant, and we’re proud to say we still do. This summer don’t be afraid to show a little skin with your crop tops and harem pants.

Whatever you do ladies, Keep it CUTE!!

Show us how you get in touch with YOUR Nautical Nice side :-)

Fashionably Yours,

Bry Delicia

Shining Bright in Silver!

Wednesday, January 11th, 2012

With all the bright shades of neon contrasting with the rough and tough-ness of leather, it’s sometimes a wonder trying to figure out which shoes to pair such an outfit with. When working with different colors and textures without a traditional line of styling to use a framework to use, times can get taxing when trying to figure out with pair of women’s shoes to put on. How many of us have let precious minutes of our lives tick past as we sat in dismal deliberation? But deliberate no more ladies! The trick is to always have with you a fabulous pair of silver high heel pumps!

My favorite way to style a flashy pair of silver high heels would be to wear them with a black leather bottom, in the form of either a pleated skirt or finely tailored leather shorts, and a magnificent blouse in a bold print and preferably a neon shade. Loud doesn’t even begin to describe how we want to shout from the rooftops how fabulous fashion can be in a woman’s world, and neon does just the trick. But don’t resort to wearing your typical pair of black women’s shoes. That’s been done before and when you’re tired of the same ‘ol, it’s time to reach for something more cosmic: reach for the sparkling stars!

Silver high heels have a way of catching your eye and adding just the right amount of glimmer in your outfit. If doing neon and leather isn’t your thing, Alexander Wang has taught us that even the most delicate of shades and cuts of women’s clothing can still look just as good in juxtaposition with a pair of twinkling silver high heel pumps. Model Hanneli Mustaparta has been seen all over the street of Europe and New York sporting silver loafers or silver high heels with a pale pink or pale green maxi dress with a sexy slit. (more…)

Bond Girls!

Wednesday, December 7th, 2011

With young Hollywood ladies getting the spotlight on the red carpet, there is an air of bold audacity as the young stars are stepping up with an unapologetic fashion that let’s us all know who exactly is in charge!

When Lanvin debuted their Spring collection last year, we saw simultaneously with Michael Kors’ collection a series of straps of leather and buckles fitting together flowing drapes of fabric in bold shades and serious black to create a bondage look that’s not too over the top but rather, fits delightfully in the category of fashionable women’s clothing instead. The bondage cage created by the structure fitted together by the leather and rings creates the perfect silhouette on a new take on women’s dresses.

We all have our fair share of women’s dresses in a variety of categories of the types of dresses we typically wear. So it’s fun to step outside the box and find something innovative to set the bar high for a new trend. So we can take this bondage-esque piece and flip it and turn it inside out to something new that we can have fun with! Women’s clothing gives us so many options that it’s really unfair to our inner fashionista to continue recycling older trends. (more…)

Coyly Cuffed

Wednesday, November 30th, 2011

During the big fashion shows all around the world, all eyes are on the beautifully designed women’s clothing. In their patterns, lines, hems and stitches, tells a story of each designer’s journey through the creation of their own collection. But a definite strong piece in this year’s collection that went quietly about the runways were ankle cuffed pointy toe high heels. As we’re seeing a shift in the ladies’ look towards a tea-party-like fashion, these high heel pumps couldn’t have come at a better time!

These beauties are the perfect complimentary item for winter holiday parties and dinners out on the town. The ankle cuffed high heels are both elegant and sexy as they accompany your dress or evening gown. The issue we happen to encounter when we wear formal wear, is we end up wearing the same pair of black high heels or our glitter throw backs to just finish off the outfit. But with the re-introduction of the ankle cuff high heel pumps, we now have more options in the land of holiday formal wear!

What looks so beautiful with the ankle cuff high heels is the way it gracefully clasps around your ankle with a delicate hold but retains a sturdy look with the rest of the pointy toe heel that brings it all together. The prints and shades of these high heels also contribute to its elegance and unique quality. Your typical pointy-toe high heels worn in the office or in combination with your casual women’s clothing can be repetitive and not so… exciting. But with the ankle cuff pointy toe heels, we see a more modern fresh approach to the same look, but with a high fashion couture image.

When wearing these high heels, make sure your ankle are exposed so one can learn to appreciate the beauty of your shoes. Isn’t it always such a waste when you have a fabulous pair of shoes but your pants end up covering up the details that you adore? This cannot be the case with the ankle cuff pointy toe heels. So whether you’re wearing a gown or a pair of trousers, make sure at the right time, your clothing’s fabric sashays at the right angle to expose the gorgeous cuff that breathes new life into your outfit.

And if you can, try to wear these fabulous shoes with a pair of dressy shorts or a fabulous feather skirt or a tiered skirt to allow these shoes to come full circle with you and the fashion universe!

Lengthy & Lovely Limbs!

Tuesday, September 27th, 2011

In light of all the award shows that have been streaming lately, we have to take a time out and highlight a trend that has been around for a little bit that I feel has been unnoticed by most. The genius designers who have taken into mind to do something different and more mod with women’s dresses have done us all a favor by bringing to our hangers a new kind of gown: long sleeved!

Now before we jump the gun and judge these gowns for its coverage, we have to also note, that the elegance and quiet statement that a long sleeved women’s dress makes is beautifully balanced by the cut of the dress that also amount to a sexy split boasting your pretty stems. Sometimes, when there are so many obvious qualities of a dress going on, it’s not so fun anymore. That’s how I can appreciate the evolution of women’s apparel and its constant drive for something more.

Who better than fashionistas Vanessa Hudgens and America’s sweetheart Rachel McAdams to bring this new tide in women’s apparel coming our way with their gowns donning a long sleeve! Whether you’re going out in the day time or night time, a long sleeved dress is such a new yet vintage twist on a women’s dress, and it’s definitely an excellent way to keep your silhouette uniform and gorgeously enwrapped in the luxurious material of your dress. The arms can symbolize so much about a women but either a snug fit that goes all the way down to your wrists, a loose Bohemian style billowing of material or a classy three-quarters sleeve, a sleeve is no longer a thing to shun away from a dress style.
