With the return of jewel tones in women’s wedge shoes, we can appreciate the fabulous translucent tones that come in a shiny pair of turquoise espadrille wedge shoes! Summer doesn’t have to be over when you slip your feet into a pair of the season’s most popular style of shoes that don’t have to be worn with any specific type of clothing to be worn right.

Wedge shoes have been all the rage as high heel stilettos have taken the backseat to the chunky heels of women’s wedge shoes. With its colors in a variety of new blue hues, there is more than a handful of ways to wear such a fun shade in a funky shape!

With a color this bold, you don’t want an outfit that’s just as busy to match. If anything, you want to keep the rest of your ensemble rather quiet to let the personality of turquoise espadrille wedge shoes pop! Spring into Espadrilles!

Although the true shoe addict will refuse to retire certain styles of shoes due to seasonal differences, we must admit that certain weather invites special styles of women’s shoes to come out to play. When spring brings its flowers, fickle climate and a flurry of buzzing bees and butterflies, that becomes out ultimate signal that it is time to bring out our espadrille wedge shoes.

I don’t know if it’s the canvas straps or upper, or the wooden and straw bottoms, but the natural carefree style of the espadrille wedge shoes is asking us to come outside and bask in some sunshine and take walks in flower gardens in a summery women’s dress. Color blocking has become frequently spotted with women’s dresses and so have floral prints. I love the dresses these days that are fitted at the waist and flare out and fall to the knee or lower thigh. The very lady-like style of these women’s dresses is easy to pair with espadrille wedge shoes.

When wearing an outfit with a dress and shoes, there are a variety of factors to consider, but one that strikes me as being of value to uphold, is the contrast of texture or bringing two types together to create a more united front with your outfit. When we think of summer dresses, we think light weight, breezy, and cotton or linen material that is easily blown through the wind. Now, it’d be a statement to miss-match the dress with a pair of patent leather high heels, but that’s the glory to having a wide selection of women’s shoes.

Wrap Around Moschino’s New Style!

In Europe, Fashion week has taken over the venues with the hottest classic designers bringing forth their new looks for the upcoming seasons. A designer that always brings something fresh and different, is our beloved Moschino. Where the trend in this season have been to either stick to neutrals and earth tones, or to go bold and use your Crayola-like shades of primary colors, Moschino opted for the bold and brought the fabulous collection for our visual treats this season.

 The colors are bold this season, and they’re the classic cobalt blue, the bright yellow, and the bold reds that are intertwined together in patterns of stripes and polka dots that make this season’s collection true keeper pieces for women’s apparel.

You must always look forward, to the next season and the next trend to keep up with the madness that is the fast-paced fashion. It’s looking like high heels are going to be taken into interpretation. What always looks so graceful, is when designers take the straps of a high heel shoe, and wrap it around a woman’s ankle.

Typically, the ribbon from a high heel that wraps itself around your ankle, is on a pair of espadrille wedge shoe. The shape of the wedge shoe makes a great contrast to the delicate look of the ribbon tying around your ankle. But what Moschino did for their 2011 Spring Ready to Wear collection, is take the look from the espadrille wedge shoe, and incorporate it onto a high heel! Not only that, but they are using big stripes in bold nautical colors that keep the look very Springy and fresh.
