For many tall women, heels can be tacky. Whether it’s a pair of stilettos or wedge boots, the added height provided by this kind of women’s shoes make tall women feel uncomfortable at the prospect of towering over everybody else. At times, wearing heels, stilettos or wedge boots can cause a woman to slouch just so the added height will not seem to obvious.
Thankfully, boots look good on everyone, whether you are tall or taller. So there is no need to slouch when wearing heeled boots or to ignore that lovely pair of wedge boots you’ve wanted to buy. Here are some notes on rocking the boots for tall women.
1. Stilettos and high heels are not your only options if you want to wear heeled shoes. You can also go for kitten-heeled boots, which is flattering for a wide variety of body figures and height. You can choose to go for a mini bootie style that you can tuck under your pants or over your tights. A full leg boot will look fab on your favorite skirts and dresses.
2. And then of course, there are wedge boots. Wedge boots give a little more height without obviously doing it. Unless you plan to wear your wedge boots under a pair of jeans, don’t go for the knee-high wedge boots. The more flexible wedge boots are still those that come over you calf and just below the knee.
3. Flat boots, like ankle boots, are classy and flexible. Whether it’s leather or suede, flat boots look great on tall women. Ankle boots, in particular, do a great job of showing off long, shapely legs. You can also opt to tuck your pants or leggings into the boots to make it look more prominent. Flat boots do a great job of making women look taller without actually doing it.
