Is it Coachella Yet?

With about a month left to go before the biggest music festival to hit the nation, I’m asking you… what do you plan on wearing to Coachella? Now, if you’re in the same boat as me, which is… definitely not going to Coachella (tickets sell out so quickly!), it doesn’t mean that the weather won’t warrant a hippy-esque vibe that’ll lure us to dress as if we are indeed at this hipster Indie music festival with the rest of those who were lucky enough to make it there, right?

Fashion moves in circles, and thank goodness it does. Because with the comeback of many trends, we’re seeing a slow and steady fallback to the 70’s in the early folk days where we wear all the simple pieces of women’s clothing that’s both comfortable and friendly to those with an eclectic style. I’m talking about an outfit as simple as shorts, a top and combat boots. That may not be the picturesque look of the 70’s, but this is definitely a modern interpretation of the earlier fashion statement that can still carry over into your wardrobe today.

When we think in terms of Coachella fashion, think: hot, dirt, and movement. When you’re in a situation that combines all 3, you’re going to want to buckle down and consider what trendy pieces of women’s clothing can come together to look appropriate for an outdoor all-day concert, yet still keep you comfortable and chic.

We can revert to our favorite supply of denim shorts to keep us somewhat cool amidst the dry arid heat that’s about to set in. Think cutoffs with pockets peeking out or rips and tears in all the right places to make even a pair of your normal denim shorts become incredibly cute trendy women’s clothing. And of course, this look would not be complete without a pair of shoes that must include fashion and function. Because really, what else are you supposed to wear to a desert besides combat boots?

The best part of a concert or event like Coachella has to be the simple fashion it brings out of ladies. Not only do we find the cutest pieces of trendy women’s clothing to fit the vibe and feel of a concert such a Coachella, but it also asks us to mix winter and summer in one with a great pair of women’s boots. In all the years of following Coachella fashion, I have not seen a pair of women’s boots gone awry with an outfit when worn with the perfectly retro look of something involving an earthy tone or fringe. Completing it off with black or brown women’s boots perfects the whole shebang! So think something earthy or bold, trendy or retro, boots in black or brown, and you’re ready to hit the desert event that I will have to vicariously live through you at our beloved Coachella.
