A great cup of coffee really has the ability to be the difference in any given day. Coffee brings life to those that care to indulge. It’s an eye opener, a perspective changer, it’s essentially a deal breaker in some of the most crucial moments of one’s daily life!! OK, it may not be THAT serious (to some), but it really is great! In pop culture, however, we go beyond the cup of coffee and flock to the coffee shops and cafés. Yes, we’ve raised the bar ladies and gentlemen. It’s no longer enough to have great coffee. In order to be successful in this day and age, you have to have a scenery, ambiance, and a little je ne sais pas to go with your Vanilla Latte. Seems like a lot to live up to right? Well, let’s add Los Angeles to the mix. The city of dreams, celebrities, shiny objects, and cool kids! Now the expectations are higher.
With so many prerequisites to meet you think one would cringe at the idea of embarking upon operating such a business, right? Luckily for us, the owners of Urth Caffé weren’t deterred one bit. Urth Caffé is one of Los Angeles’ premiere coffee spots, but to call it such does them a bit of an injustice. Urth Caffé not only features the best organic coffee, but also organic teas, sinfully good bakery items, and a full meal menu for breakfast lunch and dinner! With so many choices on their menu, Urth Caffé is the perfect place for a drink on the go, or for a summer date with that special someone.
So now that I’ve got you here, what are you going to order? If you’re anything like me it’s going to be pretty hard to decide! Luckily Urth Caffé’s staff is not only knowledgeable of the products on hand, but also very kind and helpful. After much deliberation I decided on a Thai Red Tea Latte and a Napoleon (one of their recommended bakery items). My Thai Red Tea Latte was Uh-MAZING! This drink is very creamy, smooth, and sweet which went perfectly with my Napoleon.
Urth Caffé has four locations in the Los Angeles area and offers indoor and outdoor seating. Take advantage of the great weather and head over to the one nearest you. One Word of caution when entering Urth caffé : Once you try it, you’ll never go back to your old coffee.

This week’s theme is American Rebel, and I can’t help but to think of the 90′s rebel herself Courtney Love. Courtney Love, for those of you that may be too young to remember, was the lead singer of Indie Rock group Hole. The group was formed in 1989 and debuted their first album in 1991. The group lasted well through the 90′s releasing their final album in 1998. Shortly after Love began working on a solo career. Courtney Love was known for her party girl demeanor and her american grunge feel, and we LOVED her music in the 90′s. She was also the wife of the late Kurt Cobain, giving her the seal of American rebellion approval. Courtney Love is still active in her career, continuing to pursue music and acting. Style wise, she’s the perfect example of what it looks like to be an American Rebel.
